There are some calls for it and the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association), at least at one point, was starting to codify the term but they haven't come out with anything definitive yet.
Really, the only way to know is talk to the roaster and see how they're buying and if it agrees with your concept of "direct trade" and if you think it's helpful for the farmers.
