Ground Coffee Degradation

If you get your coffee ground when you purchase it, how does that effect how fast/slow the flavor degrades?

Ground coffee degrades very quickly. The cellular structure of the bean is broken up and things we want in the cup are now floating around in the air.

Try it sometime - buy whole bean coffee, grind some and let it sit for a day. Then, when you brew, also brew a cup of freshly ground coffee and see if you can tell the difference between the cups of coffee.
