Freezing Coffee

I know some people who freeze their beans to keep them fresh longer. Does that work?

Generally - no. Unless you can be very very very very particular about how you package and freeze it. Just throwing a bag in the freezer generally doesn't do good things to coffee. Plus, when you take the coffee out, it gets condensation on the beans which is not good.

There are some coffee people experimenting with freezing coffee and getting very good results. However, most of them are doing things like using liquid nitrogen, or flash freezing it, packing it in vacuum packed packaging, and so on. Not the normal stuff you'd be doing at home with a bag of coffee.
