Coffee Plant Diseases

David Andersen(andersend01-gmail-com)
If a farmer was to find a disease like coffee rust on one of their trees, are they forced to discard their whole harvest or just that specific tree?

It depends on the situation - how closely they're planted/type of disease, and how much it can spread.

In the case of coffee rust specifically, it's highly unlikely it would only be on one tree. It's a fungus that spreads in the air, so it's going to move quickly from tree to tree with little more than wind to move it along. Problems like pests can be managed a little better because they move less.
